My summers were very similar. I usually spent them playing with my brothers and our friends from down the street. We played all sorts of war games. We lived right next door to my school's playground so we would hide in the tires and cross the bars over the dangerous alligator pit. When we weren't doing that, we were in the pool, or inside playing Nintendo on the yucky days. We would go bike riding, too, often across the way to the public library where we spent our days in the reading pit getting lost in adventures in other worlds.
That totally reminds me of the times at Grandma's house where we would find weird things in the closet and take them outside...and we had the "Headquarters" behind that tree, and you were like, Master Gina or something...
For some reason, I remember that Richie found a razor, and threatened to cut my arm off...
