I think I'll do a few posts, since I've got a lot to cover -- one post about TV-watching, one post about hanging out with friends, and one post about musings on religion, science, and aliens. First up: the TV ( Read more... )

How long did it take to watch all three extended Lord of the Rings films? Just wondered.

Nearly twelve hours is how much they all add up to. But we took a break in between TTT and RotK for a nap, so we were there longer. Also they gave us food, so we took time out to eat as well. We were there for about eighteen hours total, I think.

You realize that that guy can find your friends address and number by knowing her license plate number? I remember hearing a story several years ago where someone purchased a copy of the Database (which anyone can do) of the License Plate numbers for $50. This guy was planning on posting them on the internet, of which I believe people would have to pay in order to view.

Wow, he actually wrote her license plate number down?

I know, which is why I was terribly creeped out by him. Yeah, he came over to her car window and was trying to foist his e-mail upon her, and she saw that on his pad of paper he had written her license number down. O_O Which is not okay! She talked to him because she always talks to stragglers and hangers-on and pretty much everyone under the sun, and because he obviously had no sense of boundaries or anything he didn't sense at all that she was weirded out like I was. Argh. I hate people like that. The man was more than thirty years old, and if he still couldn't figure out what's acceptable and what's not, chatting with him's not gonna help. Maybe I'm a bit cynical, but if he had tried to get my phone number or something, I would have told him flat-out no, absolutely not. *shudders* Bleh.

If he tries something though, she knows the pastor of the church very well, and the pastor would take care of it, either by talking to the guy or, if it was serious enough, talking to the police, I think.

Has she seen him before at the Church?

No, but it's a really huge church with more than a thousand members, so that's not unusual.

Oh wow. That is scary! I'm sorry Gina, I hope its all okay and he is just weird and not dangerous.
And I'm jealous, I haven't seen the extended for Return yet! *Sigh* Oh well.
Everytime you mention Maria, I'm like, but I haven't seen Gina! Oh wait... my name has an "h".... :-) Hehe.
Sounds like you are having a good break! Yay!

Yeah, I hope so too.

You simply must, Mariah! LOL, that's funny about your name... sometimes I mix you guys up momentarily when talking about you, just because I know a Mariah, a Mary, and a Maria (for that matter, I also have a Laurel, a Leah, another Leah, and a Lauren...), heh.
