Well, working for a company like IBM has its own merits. You get a kick out of telling people that you work for IBM but the work environs really suck here. Just came here to check if they still have my account active or not. But hey, everything I ever wrote is still here along with all of my LJ friends. I think I shouldn't have stopped coming here in the first place.

Just finished an overstretched shift in the office and finished the whole Q of jobs. Today has to be something special. I hope to make the most of the weekend. I just wish that I could update more often.

Today, I came to know that there is actually a place called Loveland in Ohio. It came in one of those applications that I processed today.

Other funny places that I came across today were, Orange and Buffalo, both in NY.

The process that started just 2 weeks ago has taken its toll on me. Here I am after a full-fledged 15-hour shift with nothing better to do than updating this journal. We go live on Monday. There are no nerves and no foreboding of some kind that mark the beginning of a new venture. In fact I am already bored with the type of work I am supposed to do. If it is like this in the training mode, what'll it be in live mode? I have never been this bored in a transcription process.

At last, our training started and we were required to go thru all those forms that were required to be filled-in by the customers. I also came to know that after doing the much glorified work of a transcriptionist for so much time, I'll be required to do just data entry. It rained today, oh yeah!

Some of the training started 3 days back, but everything is largely theoretical. Now is the time that life really sucks, sitting in the training room just looking at those slides with nothing of consequence to do. I think the previous office life was cooler.
