If you look up, then, you'll probably see him, being pulled along attached by unbreakable ropes to ten albatrosses, which have made up their minds to try and fly

[Later in the day Stephen is walking home from work, his moa plodding along beside him. He notices a largish and vaguely white cloud coming towards him in the sky, and hears a strange whooping noise.
