You basically just put in to words exactly everything I feel about the most recent chapter. I am very fond of the 393 pairing, but honestly, I quite liked the last chapter. It's just exploring a different side of the relationship between Sanzo and Goku, and I am totally jive with that. I find Goku's little cutesy crushes on girls (either in canon or CFUD) really quite sweet and in character, depite the fact that I too think of Goku as being pansexual and occasionally like to pair him up with Sanzo. There's so much depth in their relationship and so much to explore, and that's part of why I love them. They might be friends, they might be family, they might be lovers, and in the end I think they're something more than all three. They have a really fascinating relationship. Thanks again for these thoughts, I completely agree.
No problem. I'm always excited when new aspects of Goku's character comes out--he's always had more room to grow (some teenagers do), and it's fun when he does. :3
