Hard to believe a father would do what Ben's father did to him!

Oh, man. Ben's father is not a very nice person -- not in the story, obviously, but not on the show, either. He's got some moments on the show that are just... They're legitimately kind of horrifying. In a different way from the story, but still.

(I mean, he kind of has his reasons -- there's enough there that he can tell himself that he's doing this for Ben and almost believe it. But it's not really true, and I do think he knows that. He's doing this for him.)
