LURVED the Holly/Michael scene and all of the weird awkwardness of the Will/Emma scene.

I'm having so much fun writing Holly, you don't even know. And I'm glad you love the cliffhanger; I might do a post with some snippets from upcoming chapters, but I doubt it'll explain anything more than this chapter. If anything, it'll make things even more confusing.

I love how I can be as confusing and misleading as possible, but it's okay because LOST. There is no horrible trick I can play that they didn't play first. I find that so soothing.

Oh now that's just MEAN.

I love how you redid the cake topper scene (it's still the creepiest Karofsky's ever been, but for a different reason), and Will and Emma's conversation.

I think I'm mostly following the Lost stuff, except for:
1. Is Holly a Lost character? Or did she just somehow get mixed up with the Lost characters in some way we'll learn about later?
2. Was Dave on the Island? He seems to know a lot less than Blaine about their dads' backstory.

Holly is not a Lost character; she's just working for one of them. I will say, however, that something about her seems to just fit in the LOST!verse in a way I can't really describe. She makes an excellent bridge between the two worlds.

Dave was not on the Island. There's a line in this chapter -- kind of a blink-and-you'll-miss-it, really -- saying that David's father had already abandoned his family once. So neither David nor his mother were on the Island with Karofsky/Arzt, and they don't really know much about where he was, what he's been through, or why he's come back to them now.

(this is a becoming a story about dads and their motivations, sort of. Which also fits for lost)

Every so often, I go back, look at LOST, and try to figure out which characters don't have Daddy Issues. I think maybe Sayid? Maybe? Did we ever meet Desmond's father? Because that's two. And... and uh... Frogurt, maybe?

It's not even that all the best cowboys have daddy issues -- on LOST, all the cowboys have daddy issues. Also, most of the cows. And a significant portion of the grass ( ... )
