He is a little scary, at least when he thinks Blaine needs/wants him to be scary. But I wouldn't worry too much.

Gosh that line is so chilling. Especially after reading up on what Ben can do in LOST.

I love this chapter, love the friendship between Mercedes and Kurt. I love that they still have a bond despite everything. Love the moments with Rachel and Finn, and the way Kurt and Blaine's relationship looks from the outside.

I really like the relationship between Kurt and Blaine, that they are closer than most friends in some ways, but still have boundaries in other areas of their life.

I like how Ben is someone who is so tired/vulnerable at times, but in other moments he is protective of his son and becomes slightly dangerous.

Well, I'm not planning on writing an mpreg fic, so Kurt should be pretty well safe from Ben's wrath. (That's always been one of my favorite Ben moments, the exasperated sigh and the "I thought he was gonna get you pregnant. I suppose I overreacted." Fatherhood. It's such a challenge.)

I'm glad he comes across as dangerous in this. He's definitely a softer Ben than in canon, but I never want him to totally lose that edge. He has to be the person who will do anything to protect what's his, be that the Island or his child. So I'm trying not to lose sight of that.

Continuing to love this, the Holly/Ben scene was a highlight. I imagine it was fun to write two characters who are such opposites in so many ways.

Don't worry. I totally know where this is going. Absolutely. Have not been wildly thrown by any new realizations about the characters or the story in the last week. Totally in control. At all times.

The thing is, I think that under certain circumstances, Ben Linus could be very close to being "all the mugs" Ben. I was rewatching "Dr. Linus," and that scene where he and Sideways!Arzt are talking about working in education, and Ben is all "It's about taking care of the children!" and "I haven't given up!" and I'm all *hearteyes* because sincere!Ben. But when the circumstances change... He'll does what he has to.

Because he's one of the good guys.

I also have thoughts and feelings about Holly and Karofsky (so MANY), but I feel like that could drift into being spoilery, and I don't want to spoil anyone without their permission, so.
