That's it. I'm camping out in your journal for the rest of the day, if you don't mind. I've seen all of 2 or 3 other people getting this excited for the Mike Chang show tonight, and they're very busy and I'm a SAHM stuck doing laundry all day today.
The clip.... oh man, the clip. Harry's delivery on that last line about the tutor completely broke my heart and made me tear up. He completely sold me on Mike being that desperate for his parents' approval. (Also, I am completely in love with the idea of Tina still convincing Figgins that she's a vampire and getting out of gym with it.)
I fully agree that Mike's issue is confidence. The one time we might have gotten a chance to see him sing, they ended up taking it away because the fox censors didn't like the idea of a guy playing a transsexual on glee his parents didn't approve. But he's always sang on the backups and doesn't stick out like Sugar would have. You don't stick around in Glee club forever without being able to sing SOME

Please feel free to hang around as much as you want! I have today off, and I'm pretty sure this is basically all I'm going to do. Maybe write some fic as well. Mostly this, though.
And yeah, it's been disappointing to have so little squee happening about this. You know, people move on, and I get that it's easier to squee about characters that have more onscreen time and a bigger fanbase to squee with, but it just sucks that now that the Mike Chang slowburn is paying off big-time, everyone's sort of faded off.
But who knows? Maybe he'll snatch the limelight back again tonight and never let it go again.

I never refrain from spoiling myself unless it's something I genuinely don't care about. The more I want it, the less willpower I have. So I'm sitting here freaking out that there haven't been more spoilers. I want all the spoilers. I want everything now and I don't want to wait.
No, your warning was good! I know pretty much the content of the clip, but I just have tried not to watch it. It seems silly, but, IDK, I am so overly invested in Mike getting a storyline that I want to come to it fresh.
This will probably go out the window if the Cool performance is leaked before the episode. I'm not made of stone.
I'm hoping that the fact that they are holding back the Mike stuff means that they want it to have big impact on the audience and not that they just don't think the audience will care.
I think it's just different ways of being overly invested, tbh. You want it to be a surprise, I want to watch it so many times that I hear Mike Chang singing in my sleep. So we're both about the same level of silly,
I'm hoping the same -- that they're holding it back for a surprise. They've done it before; look at "Original Song." I'd say if anything, they'll leak RIGHT BEFORE the episode happens. If they do that, then you know that's the big plot.

I'm hoping the same -- that they're holding it back for a surprise. They've done it before; look at "Original Song." I'd say if anything, they'll leak RIGHT BEFORE the episode happens. If they do that, then you know that's the big plot.
