Pete, I'm proud of you. You finally took my advice and gave it the ol' update.
Glad to hear you're doing well at Berkeley. Keep up the good work--I know you will. (so I don't need to say that. really, since this is a computer, I can just go back and delete the part I just wrote, since I haven't posted it yet, but then that would mean I would have to delete everything I'm typing now, or it would be out of place. and that would be a big waste of time)
I don't know, I think my dorm (AKA: killer apartment) might be better than yours. And plus, anyone who's anyone is on our floor friday/saturday nights. AND, my roomate works at coldstones (brings me free icecream). I've got the same deal with the roommates who are never around. It's nice. Should you be in LA, or should I be in SF, we'll have to compare. Go easy on the Sake Bombs, frat boy.

I've been mulling this over in my head for a few hours now, and I've come to the conclusion that one of two things must have happened when you recommended Buffalo Soldiers to me.
A) Your taste in movies has gone down considerably. Though a plausible conclusion, I just find it hard to believe that the person that turned me on to such great movies as Streets of Fire and Weird Science could have had such a drastic and rapid decay in movie tastes. So, I'm falling back on
2) You lied to me about how good you thought the movie was. You thought it was great, and just tried to lie the flick down to decent so as to lower the bar I would set for the movie.
If indeed 2) is the case, as I'm inclined to believe, you underestimated me. Buffalo Soldiers would have been awesome even if you had kept the bar where you originally set it. In conclusion...good recommendation.
