No, we only told the cats. I did, in fact, miss the kids a little at times, but seeing the cats made me miss ours quite a bit.

That middle picture -- the view is absolutely spectacular!

I'm glad I'm not the only person who eavesdrops on other parties in restaurants. Have to concur with Toby about the French fries in France being better, on the whole. (Or, at least, you're much less likely to run into sub-par French fries there than here.)

Yes, isn't it? Every window in Castle Beynac, and everywhere outside, had a view like that. The potatoes I liked best in France were round slices, fried in fat, with fresh parsley on them. I suppose they are "frites," as well.
