Anyone Else Getting "Transaction Failed" from LJ?

LJ wants me to spend the princely sum of $17 per year ("Pro Package") to post more photos. I'm okay with that, except every time I try to give them my Visa card, I get a "transaction failed" message. Is this happening to anyone else? Damn Russians! No wonder they can't win their war.

If you message LJ support, they should give you a free Pro package. They aren’t able to take USD transactions anymore.

This has been the case (for me at least) for the past two years. As suzanna says, message LJ support and they will give you a free package. This is happening because they cannot accept transactions from the US.

Yes. There is no way that we (in the USA) can pay anything to LJ because of the continued ban on using credit cards for Russian goods and services. I have a permanent account, but a few months ago, my paid custom userhead was about to expire. That wasn't a huge deal - but I wrote them and they gave me another year for that. They know we can't pay, and they may do the same for you.

You can't pay them as they are in Russia and there are sanctions. I emailed to explain and they are giving me my paid account free.

That's what I heard, and it seems to have worked for me as well.
