I really recommend the new Penzeys chili powder (the 9000). It's got a very bright taste, even with the little bit of added heat. I made "Mexican Rice Casserole" last night (started out as fajitas, but didn't have the stuff to make it, so improvised around a lb of chuck, 2 1/2 cups of brown rice and salsa :) and even Mike ate a ton (doesn't usually like rice and doesn't like anything "hot" including peppermint flavor.)

Ron and I left Albuquerque with 5 dozen fresh flour tortillas from the Frontier restaurant. Airport security didn't bat an eyelash.

Saturday we found and purchased a flat of small cans of Hatch green chile. Although Ron lamented that they only had mild. I'm sure we can heat them up a little with some of the frozen green chiles in the freezer.
