Alright, TVD fandom, here's where I don't understand you. Exactly what about this episode is making you call Elena a bitch? What did she do wrong? Try to save her friends? I don't watch The Vampire Diaries, but I do become frustrated when a female character does the SAME sort of thing a male character in the show is prone to do, and while he can get away with it in the fandom's eyes, she can't. Double-standards! Gah!

Little things like that, lol, they drive me batty. :p

Ugh, exactly. The Vampire Diaries's fandom is ridiculous when it comes to this. You can like or dislike whatever character you want, but just quit it with the hypocrisy. Some fandoms just looooooove hypocrisy xD

I understand the Stefan criticism - right now, the fandom's split between people who support Damon and Bonnie's ruthless consequentialism, and those who agree with Stefan's more 'passive' respect of autonomy (which, for reasons that aren't his fault, make him seem a weaker, less active character.) But -- Elena? She did absolutely nothing wrong this episode. What the hell now.

Haha, honestly though, all the unjustified criticism of Elena is turning me into a stan. It's okay. It's fine.

Yeah, even though I don't agree with their reasoning I know people are bound to hate Stefan for not being as rash and impulsive, but the Elena hate is really getting to me. I've seen comments like, "I don't blame Stefan for not wanting to save her life, she was being such a bitch." And I just go O_o

I don't even love her as a character, but really guys. Really.
