Jinjurly Audiofile Linkage

I really liked this part, and the whole first time I read it, I was going, "this is so good, Sarah I love you," and thus I hope you like it too. The song is "The Weight of it All," by Matt Nathanson. All is misery and ( Read more... )

Thank you so much for doing this - you did an amazing job of individual voices :) I still have over a half to download but I'm enjoying the ones I already have immensely. Draco's voice is just perfect! And Crabbe, and Goyle and Harry and Kingsley... (can't wait to hear more characters) Love!

Thank you! I love doing voices, they're so much fun :) I love Goyle's faux Italian voice, it makes me smile. Glad you're enjoying them!

Hi there!

I'm still catching up on your audio chapters -- I LOVE THEM, by the way -- and had this crazy idea of possibly recording or whatever Quality of Mercy, with your collaboration or blessing. I've done some voice work in the past (computer games) and just found myself reading QoM aloud and doing voices, so...

My question is due to the fact I've only ever been on one end of the mic -- do you have uber recording software or an awesome mic, and are those necessary if one were to attempt a similar project? Do you have any advice?

It's entirely possible I'll reconsider this idea in the clean light of day and call myself a fool for thinking I had the time for it, but I'd love to hear any comments you might have...

Cheers!

Hello!

No, by all means, go right ahead! When I started this I had it in my brain that I would do IYARM and QoM at some point, but I doubt that's going to happen for quite some time, so you have my fullest blessing! You might want to ask Sarah (that's what I did), but since I'm sure she wouldn't mind, you could probably go right ahead.

I'm basically - as I've stated before - technologically illiterate, but I'll tell you what I know :) I've got WavePad as software, which I love and is marvellously easy to use... since I got it somewhate illegally (it's kind of expensive) it didn't come with a manual, but I managed to figure it out nonetheless, so that kind of speaks for its user-friendly-ness. I've used Audacity before, which was also good but I'm the kind of person that sticks with what they know. I got the "trial" version of WavePad off the profile for sbp_aloud, and though once in a while I get a box telling me I need to buy the full software or it'll expire, it's been quite some time and it's still working!! It doesn't have all the ( ... )

Hey. I've really enjoyed your audios of DDG. But did you know that Part 9 and lower is no more available for downloading?

I figured the sendspace links were all dead - but in each of those entries there should be a link to the 'Jinjurly audiofile' (if there isn't I'll add one now), and all the ones on jinjurly's site should be permanent. I'll scurry around putting those links up now (I was holding off because my computer wasn't letting me do links with the new rich text editor).

Happy listening, and sorry for the inconvenience!
