I was getting back into my car with my pizza when I saw a jacked-up pickup truck (with a steer's skull mounted to the grill) drive over the curb and park in the space behind me. I had a similar encounter a while back while inside Radio Shack. I was in a back isle looking for something and the couple at the counter started getting loud and obnoxious for some reason, don't remember exactly they were 'arguing' with the employee. Liking to be situationl aware, I glanced over there a couple of times. After a couple of minutes it seemed to start heading further south so I just stood there watching them, though I was nowhere near them, you know how you can see over the tops of the isles. I like to know what's going around me at all times, it's when you're not that something can happen to you. FAIK one could have a gun and start shooting ( ... )

I have always been amazed that people get pissed off when people watch them if they're making a spectacle of themselves. What do they expect, really?

I really don't care if they get pissed off at me watching them. It's a**holes like that that often wind up shooting someone and I *will* watch in case that's the way it winds up going.

I'm capable and willing to prevent myself [ as well as others ] from being hurt by some mental micron with an overdeveloped sense of 'entitlement.

In my experience, it's a very small percentage that turn violent. They're usually just full of hot air. Once you put your foot down, they deflate.
