*bleary-eyed stare*

Twice now I've lain in bed for over an hour. Can't sleep. Tried music, a drink before bed, and my other usual trick. No luck. I'm wondering if my body actually can adjust to this sleep pattern. Insomnia isn't good for my sanity.

This fucking sucks.

health, lack of sleep, sleep, body

I hadn't had any for over 12 hours beforehand.

coffee or caffeine? you have said you drink Jolt cola and other caffinated beverages.

Either. I make sure to not have so much as a can of cola from the time I get home until when I want to go to sleep. It isn't helping, so that's not the cause (or not the primary one, anyway).

Have you tried a good half hour or hour walk? Exercise or find a gym or maybe a yoga place to relax you. I don't think you are getting a good "work out" at work, selling liquor can't be that strenuous. ha ha

DALE.

This. Your body was more used to the physical exertion of moving shit around at Target, perhaps you're not sufficiently tiring yourself out physically?

Then why did I sleep fine when I was unemployed? I did no physical activity then, yet still slept fine.

Nope. I'm plenty drained, at least on the truck days. Ice and boxes of half-gallon bottles are plenty of physical exercise to tire me out.

It's just when I lie down and try to go to sleep, I find myself unable to.

Guilt doesn't keep me up at night. I believe you're thinking of yourself again.
