I just saw a banner from ITT Tech that said "now offering programs in business and criminal justice".

Since when was lawyering considered a technical discipline?

Technical == Vocational Ed. It's probably an associates degree program, straight-to-work training.

By technical they mean non-traditional academics.

I still don't see a lawyer with a degree from a school named "ITT Tech" going terribly far in the world of law. Public defender, perhaps... not much beyond.
