I think for this winter I will be picking up one of those oil filled space heaters because I think the heating bills are really going to be outrageous. Now I know I'm sure I can find ways the don't require any real power to keep lttlesht6 and I warm, but there will be those moments that I'm at work

Actually, they're predicting that heating bills will be lower this year since there's an abundance of natural gas reserves. Add to that the El Nino that's forming and they're also predicting a mild winter. Don't know how much you can trust the weather men though.

I hope that is the case...

But really, you can't trust the weatherman. Even when they are dead on, things can take a huge turn.

I like the electric ceramic heaters. I don't like the idea of liquid fuel inside.

As long as the use of the liquid fuel is taken care of properly, there is no issue at all. Actually less of a risk than the ceramic heaters. I think with the ceramic heaters they use much more electricity to actually heat, and keep heated, the element.
