Little MISS bigbang chapter 4

“This is weird… This is wrong… This is disturbing…THIS DRESS IS TOO SMALL!!” Ri complained as he twirled in front of jiyong’s mirror and frowned at how tight the blouse was and how seemingly short the skirt was.

“STOP COMPLAINING!” Jiyong swated Ri’s hand away from the skirt and started straightening it. “Look, it took me a lot of explaining to my older sister before she even lent these to me, so you better shut up.” Ji pouted, but then couldn’t help but chuckle when the maknae sighed in defeat. Ji pulled out a curling iron and turned it on so it began  heating when he noticed Ri’s curious look. “What?”

“Are you serious? Aren’t we supposed to like make Youngbae-hyung hate me? Why are you making so pretty  huh, Hyung? I’m not a Barbie doll for crying out loud, and also…” he looked at his dress and sniffed it, hating the citrus-like scent on him. “Why did you even have to bother Noona? you could've just gone and like, asked a stylist.”

“First,” Jiyong walked towards Ri and began fixing his maknae’s hair, “I couldn't go to the stylist 'cause Youngbae probably already knows a lot of whatever clothes they have, and secondly, you keep complaining about trying on clothes in public, and I don’t trust you enough to let be in the female changing rooms, so buying clothes from the mall is out. Lastly… we’re making you pretty 'cause Youngbae hate girls who dress up too much, remember?”

“It’s not Youngbae-hyung I’m worried about.” Seungri puffed out his cheeks, making his face look way too cute, and Jiyong quickly looked away.  “I’m worried about getting hit on by other guys,” Seungri confessed as he swung his body left and right.

“What the fuck?” Jiyong tried to avoid laughing as he wondered how conceited Seungri could get.

“Aish!” Seungri pushed Jiyong aside and began grabbing things from the bathroom counter: a brush,  powder and lipgloss. “You don’t understand, Hyung!”

“I do… at least I think I do.” Jiyong laughed out.

Seungri rolled his eyes and slammed his bag onto the countertop. “I’m serious, Hyung. Stop laughing. I’m scared of going out as a girl 'cause… aish…” he raised his hand and scrunched up a his long hair in a fist as he started feeling frustrated. A sickening feeling slowly crept in him, fearing that Jiyong would laugh more if he explained further. “I mean… look, I’m a guy… well I USED to be… and I know what guys thinks when girls walk around like this, look like this.”

Jiyong just stared at him, and Seungri found it highly annoying how his hyung could be so insensitive. He wondered if Jiyong was just playing dumb or if he was really that innocent. Seungri thought it must be the first one.

“Hyung!!!”

“Fine, fine. I understand, ok? You’re just afraid of your own skeletons in the closet. It’s hard now that you’re on the other side of the spectrum, huh?” the older man pinched Ri’s cheek. “And just a few days ago you had that ‘I’m just happy I’m not a girl’ speech.”

“Seriously, Hyung? You’re giving me a sermon about that now? Why thank you,” Seungri replied sarcastically. “Yeah, I know it sucks, ok? I don't think I'll ever look at girls the same way I did before… is that it? Is that the lesson whoever freaking cursed me wants me to learn? Then so be it.” Seungri tucked his long hair behind an ear.

“Just relax, ok? I’m sure Youngbae won’t let anyone- and I  mean ANYONE- get close to you. He’ll be around you to protect you like his gentle little flower or princess.” Jiyong stuck out his tongue as he made final adjustment to Ri’s shirt, knowing he was torturing Seungri but finding it just too amusing and funny to miss.

“EEEK! Hyung!” Seungri quickly rubbed his arms as he began getting goosebumps.

“Besides,” Jiyong rolled Ri’s belt, making sure it was put on the right way, “as if anyone would find you attractive enough to approach in the first place.” Jiyong laughed and threw his head back at the thought of even a single guy trying to pick Seungri up.

“WHAT?! HYUNG!” Seungri yanked on Jiyong’s shoulder and pulled him up, leaving him face to face with the older man. “Why don’t you think I'm cute? Like seriously, am I ugly? Am I the only one who finds myself cute? Do I have something wrong in my face…?” Seungri continued to spaz, and Ji was slightly surprised by how panicky his maknae became.

The leader paused, trying to analyze each question from the maknae, then it hit him… girls were different and they handled sarcasm regarding their looks way too seriously. Jiyong noticed how quickly Seungri had let go of his arms and begun looking at his reflection.

“Am I an ugly girl, hyung? Do you think that… Aish, who am I kidding? I keep saying I’m the second best looking in the band. Everyone knows TOP-hyung is the handsomest, but I keep saying that I’m his support and everyone knows that it’s just a front. I hate this. Why do I have to compete even in looks? Ah, I’m not making sense. Maybe I should just cancel my date and go live somewhere as a hermit”

“Ssshhh…” Jiyong pulled Ri’s face away from the mirror, fighting with all his might to make sure he wouldn't blush. He shouldn’t blush… and dammit, he'll never blush. (The leader kept chanting the words in his head as though he could make them true that way.)  He hated how Seungri looked like a lost puppy, how his curled hair daintily swung from his shoulders, and how his perfect face tilted to the side as the maknae waited for whatever speech the older man would give. Jiyong swallowed a mouthful of spit, trying to wash away whatever it was that had clogged his throat. “I was just kidding, don’t go being so dramatically insecure like other girls I know, ok? You’re pretty, Seungri, and you shouldn’t let your insecurities or what people tell you dictate your confidence.”

“But you said nobody would even want to ask me out…” Seungri said in a small voice and looked away because the way Jiyong was staring at him brought butterflies to his stomach. It was as if in that moment everything was magnified by 200%; How his heart beat, how Jiyong’s warm thumb brushed over his chin… the warm breath that Jiyong exhaled and he damn well inhaled. Seungri closed his eyes. “You said  that…”

“Well I was just kidding, ok?" Ji interrupted. "Youngbae asked you out 'cause he definitely found you attractive enough... and… I do too…” the older man mumbled in embarrassment.

“Really?” For some reason, Seungri felt like jumping for joy when Jiyong admitted he found his maknae attractive.

“Yeah… you’re our pretty maknae... whether you’re a girl or a boy, ok?” Jiyong said, finally able to smile.

Seungri wanted to respond with a joke or at least make a funny retort about how jiyong was making him feel- anything to cover up the spider-like feeling creeping up inside his tummy.

Jiyong’s eyes were deep, as though he was analyzing each line on the maknae's face, who wondered if Jiyong was even counting how many eyelashes he had with the way the man was staring at him. He would’ve found it disturbing and pushed the older man away with a jab of humor, but he couldn’t. Somehow he was frozen there as well, and he wanted to be sick with the idea of enjoying how Jiyong was looking at him- like he wanted that look to be just for him.

Jiyong felt like nature was pulling him, as he watched, deep in concentration, the way Seungri stood still in front of him and how he could see a beads of sweat building up on the maknae’s face. He saw the cute the hint of blush placed on seungri’s cheeks- because of him. He lifted his hand, inching towards Ri’s cheeks and wanting to pull the cute lady in front of him…

'Hyung…' Seungri thought, wanting to say something. He found that he'd lost his tongue and his that heart was beating way too fast.

Slowly, Seungri closed his eyes. The silence surrounded them, interrupted only by the sensation and the subtle breathing sounds…

Jiyong was just a few centimeter away from maknae. His hands were trembling and his heart was beating quickly, and neither thing was helping at all.

As the gap closed... a sudden sinking feeling erupted in Seungri’s stomach and an image ran unbidden through his head.

A small room, posters of random independent band posted on the wall, a small tv in front, and himself... busy playing Pacman.

“Hey, Seunghyun! Seunghyun!” he wanted to ignore the voice of the girl calling him. He jerked his shoulder to look as like he was paying any attention at all. “Lee Seunghyun!!!”

A pillow hit his face, and he lost the game.

“Dammit! What the fuck was that for!?!” He glared at the girl who'd thrown the projectile and was laughing at him. “That’s not funny!”

“I’m not trying to be! You’re ignoring me again,” she pouted.

“I’m not,” Seungri grumbled and threw the controller away. The girl sat beside him, and her apple-cut hair bobbed as she plopped down on his left. She looked really bothered and Seungri could practically feel the weight on her shouldesr. “What is it?”

She just shrugged her shoulders and pouted.

“Aish… what’s wrong, little miss? What's more important than Pacman?” Seungri laughed as he placed his hand on top of her head ruffed her short hair.

“Aah, don’t do that!!” She slapped his hand away from her. “do you think I’m pretty, Oppa?”

“Huh? What, again?”

“See? You don’t even think the words pretty and I fit in the same sentence. You don’t understand me at all!!” she yelled and hugged the pillow, hiding her face in it. Seungri slowly pulled the pillow away to reveal her face. She was whining cutely underneath the pillow.

“What happened, huh? Someone nag you, or was it Jihyo again and her group?" he wondered aloud. The girl nodded that it was indeed the latter, and Seungri sighed as he placed his hands on her shoulders. “What did they do to you this time...?"

“They said I'm too ugly to even hang around with you, Oppa. Or actually it was just plain ugly, and I don’t... Oh my God… Maybe I should just be a hermit.”

"A hermit??” Seungri laughed in amusement.

“Yeah, and then I'll be stuck here in Gwangju and dig for or grow my own food… I'll hide my ugly hermit face," she mumbled dejectedly.

“Shhh!!” Seungri placed his index finger on top of the girl’s lips to silence her. “Stop that, ok? You’re really pretty, in fact I’m sure Jihyo is just saying that 'cause she’s envious of how pretty you are,” the boy replied confidently.

“Really? Will any guy find me attractive, Oppa?” she pouted, and he couldn't help but pinch the girl’s cheek.

“Yes!!!”

“Do YOU find me attractive, Oppa?”

With that, Seungri paused. He didn't know how to answer, and hesitated at first. The last thing he wanted was to lead an innocent girl.

“Oppa?” she prompted earnestly.

“I do,” Seungri replied, throwing caution to the wind. “So stop sulking now, ok?”

“Really!?!” She cried happily and flung her arms around Seungri. “I love you, Oppa….”

“Aah... umm... haha… ok… uh, thank you...?” Seungri nervously returned the hug, floored by the girl's response to his reassurances.

-----------------

A buzzing sound tore him away from the images in his head. Jiyong’s hands were wrapped around the maknae's waist and just a few centimeters away from his face. Seungri quickly placed his hands in between them and leaned away from his hyung.

“Hyung!!” Seungri yelped, looking pale.

Jiyong’s eyes opened wide. “What?” he asked before realizing how close together they were, and he moved his hands away quickly, as though they'd been burned. The leader tarted breathing heavily, feeling hazy and thinking about how he'd nearly forgotten what he was doing.

The two of them breathed deeply.

“You ok, Maknae?” Jiyong finally asked.

Seungri nodded, took a deep breath, and then blinked a couple of times. He exhaled slowly. “I just had a vision…”

“A vision?" Jiyong asked.

“A girl… THE girl… I think I know her, I mean… I used to be her oppa, but… I’m not sure if I know her now.”

The buzzing sound continued, and the two of them found it very annoying.

“Youngbae’s here.” Seungri said, feeling slightly upset. He'd rather stay there with Jiyong and figure out who the girl in his  vision was than go on a date with Youngbae-hyung. Jiyong, on the other hand, also felt that he'd rather stay with the maknae…. to figure out who the girl is, of course. But if he was honest with himself, it was more so to  figure what the hell that almost-kiss had been.

“I better go,” Seungri mumbled and eased his way around a stunned Jiyong.

“Yeah…” Jiyong walked behind Seungri, and when the two opened the door, Youngbae on the doorstep, smiling wide and holding a bouquet of flowers.

“Hi, Princess,” Youngbae greeted Ri cheerfully and nervously held up the flowers to give it to his date.

Ri tried his best to smile and handed the roses to Jiyong, which upset the lead singer. Youngbae didn't let that it bother him show though, and decided to ignore it. “Let’s go?” Seungri asked, doing his best to sound excited.

“Sure.” Youngbae stepped aside and lead way. “See you later, Ji.”

“Ok...” Jiyong sighed, as he dug his nails deep into the door, scratching as a weird frustration ruled him.
