I saw Mysterious Skin recently, very powerful, even brutal at times, but a very good film, probably an even better book. I've always liked Joseph Gordon Levitt, and even Michelle Tractenberg was tolerable (maybe it's just her being Dawn but I've never really cared for her acting).

Have you seen Running with Scissors yet? It's pretty crazy and it's had it share of critic pans, but I liked it.
