#2 and #8 are in Pittsburgh. Chalk this up to yet ANOTHER thing that I did not realize was unusual about my home until I left. But I do remember coming to Boston and being surprised at some of the things they called "hills" around here.

And yeah, I have gotten directions from people in Boston like "as soon as you get up the hill, it's on your left" and frankly, there was no hill.

i hate that photo trend! it's been gaining popularity in the last 2 years or so. i see it all the time and it always makes me so mad. it's just so dumb!

I imagine this kind of thing isn't an issue on the steep SF hills! My grandparents used to live on a hill like that, and it was pretty terrifying. I had my own method of hill-walking that was not quite a crab, but probably pretty similar. ha.
