Ah, yes, the "last night's post" referenced in the title here is locked... But I mentioned in that one that yes, he said he liked the shirt, and had never seen one before. Which is sad; the whole world should be wearing "Department of Defense / In Orpik We Trust" shirts.

I WAS THERE TOO!! Your picture came out so much better than mine, though. He looks fantastic but I look like a doofus, and the lighting is messed up. I have no right to complain, though. That was such an awesome day! :DDDD

Aw, I wish I had known you were going to be there. We could have met up! (I went with some friends who are not Pens fans, but are kind enough to indulge my obsessions.) I found out about it fairly last-minute, so I didn't even think to post anywhere to let people know/look for friends. haha.

Sorry your pic isn't good. You'll have to find him again sometime.

We had also found out about it last-minute - it must have been the most impromptu road trip ever. I had gone with my mom since none of my friends are hockey fans, let alone Pens fans, so she kept me company. We were some of the first ones there, so after we got pictures and autographs we just hung out for a while with some other Pens fans we had met, watching everybody. After a while he must have been thinking, "Who are those sketchy girls in the corner?"

And I LOVE PittsburghSteelRocks! I have a sweatshirt and t-shirt from there already, but I'm going to have to indulge in that one now too. :P

Yes! He was surprisingly sweet and non-intimidating in person. I suppose it depends on the situation. I still wouldn't want to go up against him on the ice.
