also, is your cousin going to be in boston next weekend? i really wish you could come to philly for the show, dangit! i'd love to go to the boston show the next day but i don't really have a way to get up there because i think i'd have to go by myself and that scares me. haha! and...is there a meet and greet or anything for the indianapolis show? i told my friend i would inquire again but i don't want to be a bother or anything...i know you're busy :)

Yes, Laura's coming. Which gets a happy face in general, but sad face that I'm not coming to Philly. Why don't you come back to Boston 8/18? No BK, but Guster's playing with Modest Mouse, and I know you like them too.

Okay, that's not helpful.

I don't know what exactly's going on in Indianapolis, but I think I did put your friend down for aftershow... Email my Guster address with her name and I'll double-check the list tomorrow. (Can you believe I didn't bring my work laptop home with me tonight?! Rebellion!)

Dude, that sounds like fun! I kinda wish I could go check that out, too.
I just started reading the first book of the Potters while on vacation to visit my family (my mom is way into H.P.), but I was already kinda hooked on the movies from seeing the third one on.

Oh yeah, I've read the first three books and really liked them... I have the 4th on my shelf, but I have 100 unread books on my shelf so it's not a priority. Maybe if I was all caught up I'd be more into it!

Hmmmm, I also have a song by a band called "Draco and the Malfoys" where the chorus goes "i have a broomstick that's better them you..." in a very sing-songy way. it's...odd.

Oh yeah, there are tons and tons of Harry Potter bands, but Harry and the Potters were apparently the first, and they're from Boston.

My friend Elisabeth just wrote this Salon piece about the phenomenon.
