You won't regret it, B. They're so witty and humurous, ah I love these books. Plus there's Harriet Vane, the coolest character ever. She and Wimsey are the Brangelina of mystery.
Yay! I always rec Sayers books, they're great reads if you're into something not too heavy. If you're into Nero Wolfe and Agatha Christie novels you'll enjoy them.
IMO, you only need to read in order if the book has Harriet Vane in it (Strong Poison, Have His Carcase, Gaudy Night, Busman's Honeymoon) because it charts their ~Epic Love Story~. I suggest starting out with either Strong Poison or Murder Must Advertise.
I submitted a paragraph of one of my unfinished fics. I WRITE LIKE STEPHANIE MEYER. Depressing. Submitting larger samples got me Dan Brown, Douglas Adams, David Foster Wallace. lol.
idk why I don't read more mystery. Probably because I get too tense and I just /have/ to know what the ending is. So I end up spoiling everything by... skipping to the end. Though that seems to happen to every book/movie/tvshow I watch...
Hi, I'm sorry if this is random (incredibly random), but I was reading one of sollasollew's old Akame posts and she mentioned your fic Closer, from the Lips PV, here (http://lonelybusiness.livejournal.com/11695.html). since it's f-locked, I was wondering if there's some other way to read it or if you wouldn't mind me friending you?
Thought it polite to ask and sorry for spamming here, but couldn't find a friends' entry or something.
Hello! It's totally fine to comment here. XD I've moved most of my fics to a fic journal named ginpomelo and they can all be accessed publicly. Closer can also be found there.
Apologies for the lack of info on my lj, it's just that some people RL found this journal a long time ago and I've been paranoid about them knowing my fannish activities. If you still intend on friending me I totally wouldn't mind although I update very infrequently. XD
Great then! I'm checking uot your fic journal. I might do something like that if some RL people ever find my journal as well. Hope they never do. *thinks*
Do you mind if I add you fic journal instead? I really don't browse my f-page and don't want to fill in your f-list when I just don't take time in reading. *gets bricked*

Since this is a series, do I have to read the other books in order to understand this one?

I love mysteries but I don't mind being spoiled. Sometimes I even seek out spoilers lol. My favorite tv shows are NUMB3RS, Bones and Criminal Minds.
