stupid question of the day! (and other random things)

I'm writing a fic, but 'bullet scar' just sounds wrong. Is it wrong? Is there a better description? Or is my brain just doing a weird language glitch thing??

I really enjoyed barefoot Liz kicking ass. :)

I <3 Sleepy Hollow but haven't sought fic. Tell me if you find good fic.

There's just something extra awesome about her being so badass in bare feet.

I found a few Abbie/Crane stories.
Show me the Way to Go Home (T, also Ichabod/Katrina)
Five Times Ichabod Kissed Abbie (and one time he didn't) (T)
The Late Year Lies (M, post-not!apocalypse/post-series/something like that)
In Plain Sight (So Open Your Eyes) (T; A/N say it can be taken as gen as well but IMO the last scene's pretty 'shippy)

That about exhausts anything decent on ff.net, but I've barely tackled AO3.

Some authors have the rather annoying tendency to spell 'lieutenant' as 'leftenant', apparently not realizing that it's an alternate (and probably earlier) pronunciation of the same spelling. I am trying to look past it in stories that are otherwise well written. (It's SO HARD.)

Googling the phrase "bullet scar" gets about 24,700 results. If you're wrong, you have a lot of company.
