I got a card last week from quietlybemused (still haven't sent yours yet... you're used to Christmas cards arriving from me in February, right?) and arrived home today to one from alianne!! Thank you, both! (And yes, I consider myself hugged. =D )

Happy "birthday" to december21st. :)

vicki_james98, your card will most definitely be late, seeing as it's still sitting on my desk at work and ( Read more... )

Holy crap, that was fast! I only mailed it last Friday. This challenges everything I thought I knew about the world. Anyways, glad it arrived. :)

Wow, seriously?! I never knew post offices could be efficient! This may also change my world-view. (And I sent mine on the twelfth, so....)

Your card totally made me smile. :) Merry Christmas!

I mailed your card yesterday, so I will be curious to find out how efficient Canada Post is in-province.

Be pleasantly surprised -- it arrived today! Who knew Canada Post could be so quick? (Maybe they have extra workers during the holidays, or so much mail that the trucks go out more often.)

I did, in fact, remember to mail your card today. I may have done so in time for the evening pick-up, but that's probably still not soon enough for delivery tomorrow so I guess look for it next week!

I dunno, I'm more of a sunlight person; I'm not sure I'm all that excited about the shortest day of the year. ;) (I do like the number twenty-one, however. But only paired with certain months for some reason. And December is one of them.)

My brain, it is sometimes strange.

I like astronomical achievements. I find solstices more interesting the further north (or south) you go; "only 5 hours of daylight/darkness!" is more impressive to me than the equators' "it never changes."

Only liking 21 for certain months is strange. But that's okay.

Much as I hate the cold, I do prefer having four seasons over having the same temps pretty much all year long.

As far as the 21 thing goes, that's probably just because I don't like some months. Like August. I don't like August. That could also be because I don't like the letter 'g' in any form (lower or upper case, appearance or sound). (This may also contribute to my dislike of -ing words.)

We all have our eccentricities. :)
