Addendum to Day 2, post 2: I totally (and accidentally!!) walked into the men's room at the restaurant at dinner. Luckily, there were no men in there at the time
( Read more... )
This restaurant looks fairly new, so it was nice and new and clean and fancy.
The door was glass, which is why I accidentally walked in -- I thought it led to another part of the restaurant! Like, a bar section or something. Then I saw the sinks and thought, 'Okay, it's a bathroom, but how do I know which one?' and then I saw the urinals and got out of there ASAP. *g* (Turned out the 'men' symbol was beside the door, instead of on it, and so... yeah.)
In comparison to the women's washroom at the same restaurant, the women's was a big bigger and a lot brighter. I have no idea if this is the norm.
I'm guessing the funny looks were from people who either weren't aware of the scavenger hunts (I had to explain what I was doing to a few fellow con-goers) or just regular guests who didn't know what the con was about.

I mean, I assume you walked- nay, ran- straight back out when you realized your mistake, but I've always wondered what they look like IRL.
Some people looked at me like I'm nuts
O.o For looking for sci-fi stuff at a convention? That's...odd. Wouldn't that be the norm?
