Цапли могут неподвижно часами стоять. Но их интереснее в движении снимать, как на этих снимках :)

Не знаю, датские цапли не стояли часами - только человек на горизонте, и только их и видел)))

Наша совсем уж близко не подпустит. Первая посреди реки стояла. А вторая, на 14 - 16 снимках, была от от меня метрах в 10, и не очень испугалась :)

Здесь две разные цапли. А недавно за одну прогулку мы 5 цапель видели, причём 4-х одновременно, недалеко друг от друга. Но не рядом, слишком близко они друг друга не терпят :))

It always amuses me that birds can stand on ice with naked feet and no-one ever get a cold. Have you ever heard a heron sneezing?! No? Me either! lol

The ducks looks quite comfortable, too! I wish I could swim in such a cold water without any consequences... ;)

The squirrel is awesome! Such a nice fluffy fur. :)

Great set with a typical winter mood. :D

Years ago I used to think that herons migrate in winter to the south, was surprised to see them standing on the ice like that :) Now I know...

I remember years ago that Canada goose died because his wing was frozen into the ice on the river. Probably he got asleep on the ice at night, and in the morning couldn't get free his wing. It was heartbreaking to watch, but river was half frozen, there was no way to help him... :(((

Oh! This is sad story. I guess there are bigger problems for the birds during a winter than a common cold. They should be very careful.
