since it's nearly Halloween (OMG October went by really really fast), I'm trying to come up with a good list of movies to rent. I've watched a lot of really bad horror movies and that's it's own kind of fun, but I want to watch actually good movies right now. this is my partial list of potential choices, culled from a night-long browse through

good horror movies? hmm ... Butterfly Effect (it's a love-it-or-hate-it sort of thing), the original Japanese versions of the Grudge and/or the Ring (far better than the American versions), I &hearts big bug movies ... but that's just my little quirk ...

Also, I totally agree with you about listening to Vincent Price reading his tax forms. :P I was watching The Abominable Dr Phibes when I was on LI last weekend ... and apparently he was on an episode of the Trapper John spin off series????

are you going to be home for Thanksgiving? we should rent a pile of awful awful horror movies from Blockbuster (it's the one thing that place excells at, truly dreadful horror movies). were you with us when we watched that lesbian murder camping party movie? that was ... good ...

the Trapper John spin-off amuses me, or rather, the fact that they apparently were all "well, we OUGHT to have someone play Hawkeye as a guest-star, since he gets mentioned so often, but if it's not Alan Alda it won't fly". and I kind of have a train-wreck mentality about watching AfterMash - it can't possibly be any good, but I'm still curious
