I am Ryuuga, the one who had asked about Ryuzaki. Please forgive my lack of manners during that previous occasion; my urgency to seek out a person I might have known seemed to have made me forget them.

How may I address you, Madam?

Mrs Lovett, dear.

How 'bout you come up and I'll tell you everything I know about him, eh?

Oh, no, that's alright. I can't impose you like that.

[A light rapping on the door of Mrs. Lovett's apartment.]

I am here, Mrs Lovett.

[She comes to the door.]

Hello there, Ryuuga. Come in, would you?

[He takes a brief moment to observe the lady's appearance, as he performs a greeting bow, and enters.]

Thank you, Mrs Lovett.

[She looks a little eccentric, with bags under her eyes, her hair a barely-held back mess, and flour on her dress. She casually brushes it off, and takes a good look at him.

Handsome lad.]

No need for a bow, dear, but that's nice. Brings a little bit of gentility to a place, doesn't it? Come on, take a seat. [She gestures to one of the chairs.] Still looking for some cheery wallpaper and upholstery, but we'll get 'em when we get 'em, eh?

[She walks to the table in the kitchen, brings over a pie and a bottle of sake, and sets them down on the small table between the chairs.]

Couldn't find any gin, but this stuff ain't so bad either. Now, dear. What do you want to know about that little weirdo?

[He chooses not to comment on her appearance, maintaining a light smile as he takes a seat. It wasn't shortly after he took his seat, that Mrs Lovett had already told him enough to further suspect that L was here.]

We could start with his appearance and behavior, perhaps.

[He pondered if it was safe to eat any of the pie, while taking a small sip of sake. He's already of age, after all, and a tiny bit wouldn't hurt.]

Well. Looked like he hadn't seen the sun for years, for a start. Now, I know that's understandable in big cities, but he didn't look like he had ever even been to the seaside as a kid. That sort of pale, dear. And he had these big circles under his eyes... like he'd not slept. Terrible posture for such a young man, too. Oh! And the way he'd sit...

[She actually pulls her legs up under her, and then proceeds to crouch on the seat, thumb resting against her lips.]

Don't this just look really uncomfy? 'Cause let me tell you, dear, it is. [She sits normally again, arranging her skirts.]

[As each word left Mrs Lovett's mouth, Light's eyes widened ever so slightly. The sitting position that Mrs Lovett demonstrated fitted perfectly-]

I knew it! He's here!

[He quickly rearranges his expression to one that is more neutral, and speaks in a tone of relative urgency, much like that of a man seeking a long lost friend.]

Of course. It certainly sounds like the person I know... I haven't seen, or heard from him this whole time, however... Do you know what happened to him?

[Mrs Lovett sighed, giving herself a generous tot of the sake.] 'E just vanished one day. Just like them other boys. Daft, all of 'em. I'm sorry love. Left before you arrived, I'll warrant.

[His expression seems be torn between glee and disappointment for a brief moment, before it settles on disappointment.]

I see...

[He takes another sip of sake, before beginning to cut the pie open.]

I'm sorry, dear. He a good friend of yours?

[She notices him doing just that, and nods.]

Eat up, love.
