Title: The Last Train Length: 2.3k w. Pairing: Luhan / Xiumin Rating: PG-13 Summary: On the eve of the Korean War two lovers say goodbye. Warnings:[Warnings] Character Death
My brain was so conflicted while reading this. On one hand I was so worried about the warning of character death and on the other I couldn't help thinking how good Minseok must look in a soldier's uniform. ^^;;
But the I got to the end and I was all: "ㅠㅠ"
It took me a few seconds to realize why Luhan would cross the Yalu but then I remembered “I will come back.” Ah, the sweet, sweet sadness. ;___;
Thank you for writing and sharing this! ^^ I must say, not only was this a great (and sad - my poor ship ㅠㅠ) read, but it also got me interested to find out more about the battle of Yudam-ni. Yay history! ^^
Thank you for reading and commenting! This fic made me cry while I wrote it, I will not pretend that it did not T.T
Yay history indeed! If I had a ton of time and motivation my goal would be to write a xiuhan fic that spanned the second sin - Japanese war. I can imagine them as freedom fighters in shanghai and it just seems to fit...that or writing them during the Korean war. Both would be sad and I am not sure I could handle it but I have always been intrigued with this idea. The amount of research that I would need to do however OTL. I guess I have never quite been that motivated.

I think their attempts at trying to discuss a potential future got to me the most, trying to pretend they didn't already know the likely outcome
Thank you for this, it's beautiful

And yes, they didn't know (of course) which kind of makes it all that much sadder ;`(
