Mallorca - Day 3

On our third day in Mallorca, we set out to explore the norh-east part of the island.

Our first stop was the sweet village of Fornalutx, considered among the most beautiful on the island.

Those villages are interesting, but not stunning, imo, and they require so much walking and climbing (the stairs!!) that I don't think I could visit them now. But I was glad to see them when I fist did, years ago, and your photos bring back fond memories. I was driven to all of them by one of the first people I ever met on the internet, a proud Mallorcan gentlemen who drove me around the island for about twelve hours, almost entirely in silence (he couldn't speak English, and I couldn't speak Italian), but with lots of pointing and smiling. There were no strings attached, btw; he simply wanted to show me the beauty of the land that he loves so dearly. The kindness of strangers.

Yes I agree: charming, and picturesque but not stunning.

Sorry, I should have said Spanish, not Italian. Yes, it is a memory I recall fondly--just like the island itself.
