The last 2 weeks

As you may have noticed, I've been struggling to keep up with LJ this year but not to the point of being completely absent.

A few weeks ago I got the chop from a friend's  LJ in one of his periodic culls. I am not sure what 'crime' I committed as I am certain it was I who had commented last, but I'll never know as his is a friends-only journal. ( Read more... )

I am always very happy to see your posts. They're usually full of good food, beautiful landscapes and people celebrating life. Can't imagine anyone not appreciating that.

Yes they did, the little bit of vine they served on the plate.

I think they specified it was a 'hen egg' because it could have easily been a quail or a duck egg, or even a crocodile one! LOL

Franco that is a splendid post!

I always enjoy reading your entries!

Anyone who would de-friend you is missing out on a lot.

Thank you for sharing yet another slice of life with you and Adrian. :)

If you decide to leave LJ, you better shout it from the rooftops!! :) I would be very sad if you decided to leave. I love reading your posts and studying your photography. From my perspective, Adrian and you lead very interesting lives which you catalog beautifully in your terrific photos! I would love to have seen the play you took in. Surprisingly, since I'm the opposite of a foodie, you manage to make fine dining look interesting to me.

As to the Scottish independence, from everything I've read, it may be a case of be careful what you wish for ... In this modern age, is it really necessary? What happens when Scotland runs out of oil? What will their economy be based on? I'm not sure either side has thought it through. But, then again ... does it matter what I think? :)

Thank you very much, Neil! Glad to hear that you enjoy the photos.

It's all in the hands of the Scottish voters now...

My goodness, so much news! Your mid-week outing sound wonderful. I enjoy eating before six, and going to a play afterwards. The food looks delicious, as usual, and the play sounds like lots of fun. I love back-stage theatre, and plays-inside-plays, so your choice is one I would like to have the opportunity to make ( ... )

I think you would have enjoyed the play, although it wasn't as slick as Noises Off which we saw a couple of years ago.

I don't know, I'm still getting used to the lack of privacy. Adrian says that it is like being in a goldfish bowl! LOL!

So sorry to hear about the two operations. It all sounds awful but hopefully they will go well and by Christmas you'll be back to your usual self. It must be hard to be confined at home especially when you've always been so active (I can certainly sympathise on that front - thank goodness for the internet).

I wouldn't dream of 'de-friending' you. I love reading your comments and I'm flattered that you keep reading my journal!

Big hugs.
