Yes we are lucky: it wouldn't be much fun to travel alone.
Hugs back.

Thank you. And Happy (belated) Easter to you too, and a very Happy Birthday!

We've been back 3 weeks now: I'm just very slow at posting these days!

I though it seemed like a long voyage (blonde moment!). I think we have all become a bit slow at posting on here...

Thank again for allowing us to share in your journey. The photos are beautiful, as usual. I always look forward to your photo posts

How did you plan this holiday?

My pleasure. Glad you enjoyed the photos.

I planned it by reading 3 travel guides and doing some research on the internet.

Fascinating. I especially like your photos of Santissima Trinità. The places you visit often are deserted, as this one appeared to be, which makes them all the more atmospheric, I think. I especially enjoy your photos of San Gimiginano, inasmuch as I visited there last November. It was a bitterly cold and overcast day when I toured the town, and it was not busy at all, so I probably experienced it differently than you two did. And I didn't climb the Torre Grossa, so I missed all those splendid views. Seeing the rooftops spread beneath you like a quilt must be wonderful. I should add that I admire the way you both manage so much walking on your tours: I certainly couldn't keep up. And I understand why you didn't cross that bridge. Just seeing Adrian standing on it at one end gives me vertigo.

Thank you, Bob.
We quite like to find off-the-beaten-track places, and going out of season you are almost guaranteed to find them empty.
I can only imagine what San Gimignano is like in the summer!

I think it's easier to do some walking when you have a car to travel between one destination and the next. Less tiring.
