The Open Gardens on Sunday went well. I saw many neighbours and their friends walking past the dining room windows, and some people came in to say hello to the invalid

I'm glad you have thoughtful friends and a thoughtful partner to help you in different ways through the convalescence. Congratulations on the passing of marriage equality. Are there provisions for conversion of civil partnerships in place?

Thank you Neil! Yes there are provisions for the conversion of a civil partnerships into marriages: the ceremony will be optional and similar to a renewing of vows. So it seems it'll be possible to get a marriage certificate without exchanging any vows!
