Bank Holiday Week-end

May 07, 2013 16:04

The lovely Ricardo (aka bazanges) spent the long week-end with us.
Yesterday Adrian (london1952) and I had tickets for the 'Life and Death in Pompeii and Herculaneum' exhibition at the British Museum and Ricardo came with us, although it wasn't possible to get another ticket (apparently it is one of the must-see this year).

TWO ice creams? Well then!

Looks like lovely weather... in the Southeastern US, we've had London & Seattle's weather. Quite damp and chilly so far for spring.

You know those casts of the victims of Vesuvius creep me out. There's one of a dog that really gets to me....

I have to resist temptation as both ice-cream parlours are just a stone's throw from the office!

I hope that the weather will improve there!

Oh yes, the dog cast was there...

Thanks! Adrian loves pulling faces when I take photos.

One of our neighbours has a penny-farthing!

I love the photos, as always!

Would have loved to have seen the Pompeii and Herculaneum exhibits, myself!

I have a book on that subject, and have looked
it up online.

The ice cream looks divine!

Thank you!

The exhibition is great but cannot quite beat the experience of visiting Pompeii and Herculaneum.

And the ice-cream was delicious!
