Croatia - Day 3

We spent the whole day walking around the historic centre of Split which is completely car free.

The oldest part is what used to be the palace of Roman Emperor Diocletian.

I can't tell what sort of lights (Mercury vapour?) are creating the strong green effect on the ceiling in the underground hall, but I like it a lot. And the ladder out of the water into the sky with the bird is a terrific photo!

It looks stunning, Franco. And stunning though Adrian is, we need some photos of you!

My flatmate is in Dubrovnik at the mo. I think Chris and I will have to go at some point. Perhaps we should come away with you guys, so that Adrian can drive on the wrong side of the road...
