I'm in Turin at my parents' for a long week-end and yesterday I went to visit the old Lingotto Fiat factory.
It was my first time there and also the first time I took the underground in the city. Linea 1 (the only one so far!) was extended last year to Lingotto.

Oooooowow, that looks like some tour-and I love the wooden tram seat inserts!

(Also, it's fun to say "Magneti-Marelli Carello", which is/was a Fiat company)

Both very interesting and very scenic; thanks for sharing the day with us.

The Fiat 500 has been on sale here in the U.S. for awhile now. It's too tiny for my tastes but is well-designed, fun and seems to be well-made. Looking forward to seeing what the Alfa Romeo sedan next up for the U.S. is like!

Thank you, Joe.

I like the 500 although I prefer the original version, which was even smaller!

Interesting photos, but I don't think I missed much by not visiting there when I had the chance (to each their own, I guess.) Your choice of b/w for the photos is appropriate, I think. I look forward to seeing your photos of the via Roma with much more enthusiasm.
