But as Slovenia and Spain are both in the eurozone, it wouldn't be a bargain for Tomaz.

On the other hand, when you stay with friends/acquaintances it doesn't really matter where you are.

I'm shocked about London! I'm probably going to Bulgaria this summer, so seeing it here was reassuring after this past summer's visit to Oslo, where I could barely afford to breathe.
