Overcrowding

 At the week-end I looked up the 1871, 1881, 1891 and 1901 census records for our house and have found out that 9 people lived at our address in 1881.
We were gobsmacked!

At the time there wasn’t even the kitchen extension so it was a small two up and two down. Apart from the family of 7 people (father - a compositor, mother and 5 children) there

So what does/did a compositor do.

That does sound cramped... I think of my house as not all that big but I have to remember this was a swanky neighborhood a hundred years ago!

We (mainly I) sometimes grumble that there isn’t enough wardrobe-storage space/room to swing a cat and we are only 2 people.

This is my problem as well. I am forced to keep my clothing in my bedroom, the garage on racks, my changing room with closet and storage containers so I can cycle in my clothing...and I have clothing at my parents, brothers and in storage with furniture.

Wet Bears...and Bear Pride? Huh? Whats this blessed event...is it a holiday?

I am suddenly thirsty. And what does one do in a sauna? And um, where are the pictures of a wet London1967? GRRWooF!
