Clever Draco! I loved this conversation, and Draco showing Harry that he can be involved without taking unnecessary risks.

Thank you!

Harry did think that Draco meant to cage him up in the house and never let him out. When he realized he didn't, he relaxed a lot, and it was easier for Draco to gain other concessions.

superior rhetoric skills got draco what he wanted - at least partly
but it's more than that, its the need to sometimes have someone who does take care of you and its so sweet
and i cant wait for harry to go on rereading the details of his gift- if he does, maybe someone will tell him before he got a chance or something, as you always make so many twists i cant imagine
but this is a very cute and interesting chapter

Thank you!

Harry will look up that key, and cedarwood boxes. Although he doesn't really mean to reject it anyway. :)

Nice! I'm glad Draco could convince Harry to be more careful. And it's sweet to see that part of Harry wants to feel protected too.

Thank you!

Harry does want to, the same way that he wants someone to listen to him when he talks about the war. He just doesn't think that it'll happen, so he's learned to want other things.

So charming! I love protective Draco, and I'm glad Harry will listen to reason.

Thank you!

He will, as long as it is reason and not Draco caging him up the way he thought would happen.

It's gotta be a bit hard to actually let others care for you and take care of you when you grew up having neither, reliably. I'm glad that Draco was able to get through to him that he didn't need to take unnecessary risks. A bit of precaution goes a long ways. I am also pleased that Draco understands that he can't keep Harry in a gilded cage, that he needs to support his need for freedom and allow him to live.

It is. But it also really soothed Harry to know that Draco wasn't going to do things like keep him from visiting his friends. Harry's arguments were all aimed at that particular idea, and when Draco said he'd let Harry visit them, that's where Harry really lost the argument.
