I can understand why Hermione wouldn't want to go to Malfoy manor or why she and Ron wouldn't feel any sympathy for Draco. But not being able to be in the same room with him? That's overreacting, imo. Hopefully they'll understand helping Harry's more important.

“If I can’t put aside the past to be with you during that time, I shouldn’t even be here now.” Draco buried his face in Harry’s neck. “And the same is true of them.”

Yeah, that. With exclamation points and bells on, even. All of them care about Harry immensely, but Draco actually cares about him and his well-being enough to have grown and continue to grow. I understand their trauma, but Harry is correct in feeling that they are putting him in the middle. Also, Draco can't be the only one to make concessions all of the time or Harry will start to lose respect for both him and his other friends.

Draco being in the same room would be a small start towards healing if Ron and Hermione are sincere in their desire for Harry to be happy. Because right now, Harry needs all of his friends, new and old.

Ah, you've got me up on my soapbox again. *laughs* Great chapter.

The more, the merrier! They all just need to learn to work together to help Harry.

Hum...protecting Harry by both parties is a good start, as long as the danger is out there.

Ooh, I cannot wait to see where this will go -- to find out if Ron and Hermione will rise to the occasion. Draco and Harry are both just lovely in this chapter.
