after a week without (or nearly without) this fic always reminds me how much i do love fluff and how I really am addicted to fluffy happenings - its just awesome!
and I do like the serious stuff in it too- the talk to hermione was interesting to read
and I feel kindly for harry and how hard it is for him to study the costums now- poor him, but I would advice not to take the whole haevy book with him, but making notes for the things he thinks that he might have to know and use XD (its a little bit of cheating, but books can be heavy- even for a wizard I guess, or this is just me way to sympathetic with him)
and as always great chapter with lots of fun to read!

Thank you!

Harry probably would take notes around with him. He's just afraid that he might leave something out if he did that. :)

Oh, ouch. Besieged on all fronts it seems. It's interesting that Hermione wants him to have a "normal" life. If Harry hooks up with Draco, she and the rest that call themselves family would have to change their attitude towards Draco and Slytherins in general for him to have that. I wonder if she really means it? It sounds good, yes? It would also mean that she and the others would be that much closer to healing.

I was so very glad to see Harry take the help given him in the form of the Portkey. Love little Scorpius' reaction to Harry being injured. Looking forward to seeing just how Draco handles things from this point forward.

Hermione thinks that Harry is wasting part of his life taking care of them, when he could marry and have children by now if he hadn't done it. She's more than a little sensitive and guilty on the subject, but she does still think that only one kind of normal is possible. She doesn't really understand why Harry's not already married with kids, honestly.

And thank you!

“That’s-that’s sad, though,” Hermione said, drifting on to another tangent. “That you can’t bring the person you’re dating over to see your family, ever.”

What's sad is Hermione not being able to see that she is the one making it that way. She could make the active choice to get over herself and truly wish Harry well, and work to accept the person he's interested in, but instead, she's not even remotely willing to try. That is why Harry can't have a normal life; his friends behave like self-involved children and he enables them.

He does enable them. I think he has the larger burden of guilt, here, or blame, whichever one you want to call it. Hermione feels guilty about things, but she doesn't have the mental strength to change them. Harry does. He can resist, as he shows here. He's just as protective and tender of his friends as Hermione is of him, here, or at least she is trying to be that way.

Yes, it was. And lucky that he came straight to Draco, who might have been furious if he didn't!

...would Harry allow Draco and Ron and others to revenge for him? Also just wondering how George and Ron or Hermione react to this new development, of the care and protection offered.

BTW, will this involve more pure blood custom?

They're going to be surprised and puzzled by it, at least for a while.

There will be, yes.
