What a lovely ending. I could not have wished for, or imagine, anything more. It surprised me; I expected to be unsatosfied with the End of such a long, powerful saga.
This observation by Severus about the previous Severus is poignant:
"The more he learned, the more he resented what a waste that man’s life had been"
I didn't think I could end it with the last chapter, although since I first started thinking about this story, it's been 24 chapters in my mind. I think adding an epilogue was one of the best ideas I've ever had.

This has been an experience, the chance to write a mentor story that's not complicated as much by Harry and Severus's previous enmity.

Harry does think he did all he could. In his mind, Draco's independence and freedom from his father matter more than getting him a new romance.
