Me, too. I really wonder why that option wasn't on the table; Harry and Draco will need to explain how they know that those other people were stealing magic, and it'll come out that they've been holding Aurelius (and others) in their dungeons anyway.
Harry trusts the Ministry to try some Dark crimes, but in other cases, he thinks they'll let their dislike of him and Draco override their common sense. If the Aurors can do something to disoblige him, they will.
Harry doesn't trust the Ministry. He thinks they'll take the other wizards because the crime of draining someone's magic is too Dark for them to ignore, but they have a grudge against Harry for quitting as an Auror and against Draco as a former Death Eater; they might decide to let Aurelius go.
These boys are doing really well. I missed so many chapters, and finally caught up, but it amazes me how much they've grown close together. I was really happy to see Lucius and his reaction towards Harry (glad he told the truth). Really great chapters. I look forward to seeing where you take this from here.
Lucius turned out better than I thought he would. I guess Narcissa is taking the role of uptight pure-blood in this story, so that leaves Lucius free for others. :)
As usual, I come and go in the fandom and try to only read finished fic, but yours always draws me in. 38 chapters in two days - not bad for me not having time to spend just reading anymore.
I love this fic. I love the twists and turns. I love Lucius. I love how Narcissa awakes and starts to test Harry immediately. I'm wondering at what point Ms. Bulstrode will make another appearance. (If I had commented at each chapter, like a good girl - I would have asked that one at the beginning.) Harry drives me a bit batty - one minute he is super strong (emotionally/magically) and the next he is wishy washy. It all goes back to how he sees himself. When saving others he can do it, when it comes to himself - blah. That is the easiest way for me to put it.
I will have to check back on this one soon for more progress!! (How much longer do you think this one will be?)
Wow, that is impressive for not having much time! Thanks for reading!
I hope that Harry does seem consistently characterized. That really is the basis of it: that he doesn't see what involves just himself as very important or worth putting much effort into, not compared to defending his family and Draco.
I think it'll be somewhere between six and nine more chapters.
I totally get Harry. I am very much the same way. I have had to do my own self-teaching that I am worth it to. (the secret was learning that I have to be my best, otherwise it isn't good enough for the girls)

Harry's full of good ideas, though. Luckily for Draco, because he would have been dead without him.
