Thank you so much! I was worried that would seem to come out of nowhere; I've been dropping hints as hard as I could, but it's kind of hard to suggest without coming right out and saying it (and, of course, even explaining it here doesn't clear up everything, hence why I'll need to add more details in other chapters).
So, because Harry wanted to be with Draco and not Ginny, the life debt magic made his marriage to her the alternate universe, the not-real universe? Or did it make two completely real universes, one where Harry was with Ginny and one where he's with Draco, and neither can come in contact with the other? Does the Harry in Ginny's universe want her?
*boggles*
Okay, I have to know the rest of it. Will you post the next chapter tomorrow, or will it be after your other WIP or a one-shot?

Yes. And yes.
The magic was trying to take Harry and Draco into another world all along. But because of the marriage vows being so strong and having to come true, and because they wouldn't just yield and go along without their children, this had to happen instead of their just vanishing through a mirror. Now there is a Harry and a Draco in either world.
There is a one-shot I really want to get to, so the next update will be after that, probably Thursday.
Will we get a synopsis of what happens in the "Harry with Ginny" world? Because I'm curious how things fell out there, how things got explained to Ginny and Marian. But mostly I'm thrilled to watch what happens with Harry and Draco in their new world, to see them finally able to be together in all the ways they want to be, and to learn the history of this world. Oh, and is the DH epilogue compliance in the Harry/Ginny world? Or do you have some fabulous way to make it epilogue compliant in the Harry/Draco world?
I suppose you probably won't give away all your answers just yet, but I am terribly curious to find out. I'm excited for the remaining chapters.
Yes, a brief synopsis. As for the epilogue compliance, I don't mind mentioning this now: yes, it's compliant with the Harry/Ginny world. I technically have an AU, but I think the method of creating it was pretty new!
I love the solution to the life debts and marriage vows. I had wondered about the mirrors in the beginning, and it's really cool how you used the whole 'other world' concept. :)
Both are real. The illustration that will be used in the next chapter is that it's like a cloth being torn almost, but not completely, in two; the two shreds still share a common origin, but they're apart from one another. The worlds divided.

The mirrors were always a big part of this, but the life-debts sort of took it over.
