Julia reared her head back like a striking snake. “The solution is simple,” she said. “Only lure this Ginny Weasley here, and I will kill her.”
Best. Line. Ever.
Really, I love Draco's ancestors. I really appreciate getting to see what is good about a long standing, loyal, fiercely protective family. It's all kinds of awesome.
Beyond that, Harry and Draco's concern for one another in this chapter made my heart squee so loud. It's delightful.
I always wondered what the pure-blood version of wizarding history looks like, and whether it's at all comparable to Muggle nobility. I had fun playing with that.
But . . . but . . .

Okay. I don't lj, so I have to lurk when I read. That was an EVIL place to end it. Your Julia is wonderful and such a good mix of pragmatic, unsettling, and fun; her questions about Harry and Draco, and being pleased with it because his political curency is so high. Snicker. And, and, her kill Ginny plan was well-written, too, although, really that wouldn't be a good plan in the long run. Harry would not be able to accept it at all. Can't wait for the end. Mari

It was, but it had to end somewhere!
Glad you like Julia's character. She's one of those people who really would not hesitate to separate her descendant from his lover if she judged that lover not good enough for him; Draco took more of a risk in calling her than he knew.
Harry is going to be hesitant even about calling Ginny in to force a confrontation.
Oh, I think I know the solution. I can't wait to find out if I am right. Cool chapter and I adore Narcissa and the spell she used rocks. I really like her. You give your characters such depth.

And thank you! I really wish Narcissa had gotten to kick more ass in this story than I've shown her kicking.
