Yes, that's the big difference. Hermione is letting her perceptions of the dead Harry catch her up, while both Snape and Harry acknowledge that they can't do that and still see the real person.
If Hermione can recover from the shock, she may actually be grateful that Harry said those words to her, harsh as they are. It means that she and Ron can start helping instead of contributing to the way that Harry is dragged down.
Although he was terrible to "Granger" I am glad that he is being sensible in his relationship with Snape. Also glad that she found that book for them to. I enjoyed the detail you added about "Granger" skipping the introduction of a book because of the supposed lack of importance. Really great chapter. Definitely excited to see more.

Poor Hermione, she needs to realize that this Harry *wants* to leave... so she and Ron will again be without a Harry in their lives....

Harry doesn't realize it, but he has the chance to learn a lot about the AU Hermione's character here, if he really wants to. But it's a long shot that he would want to.
