Harry feels bad for hurting Ron and Hermione, but it would hurt them more if they found out that he'd only pretended to eat the meal Hermione made. That would speak to them of a greater level of distrust. At least this way, he's trusting them to see his vulnerabilities.
Thank you!
Draco might consider going back to Malfoy Manor when the situation with Pansy is resolved.
Joy being so powerful it hurts is a beautiful concept, and I'm sure it's a pain Draco accepts willingly. I can tell Draco's not quite thinking straight, but the tapestry seemed odd in that list of presents, as the bracelet and other things were either useful or directly touched Harry. Then again, maybe it's Draco's way of slowly working his way into Harry's home.
Pansy is worrisome. The developments between Draco and Harry, and Harry's progress in offering to sleep beside Draco and eat Hermione's food post-tests, are much less worrisome and nice to see.
The tapestry was a means of preparing for the bed, really, given that the bed contains a phoenix on the canopy and the tapestry contains odd creatures as well.
Harry is trying really hard. He wants to show his friends and Draco that he does value them by doing things they will understand the value of and that they know are difficult for him.
This Laurent is a real piece of work, drugging Harry months before his actual "rape session"! The rape was all utterly premeditated and planned long in advance, then. I am glad we hear why Harry is so panicked about food. It makes a lot of sense, knowing that. I am actually sure, Hermione and Ron would understand.
I love Draco's transference of his need to protect Harry onto buying him gifts that either symbolise protection or can be used in self-defense. The gifts are so beautiful. :)
And I loved how they find a compromise here between both their needs: Draco’s warmth blended with his, and the weight-once they had settled that Harry wasn’t going to lie completely separate from Draco and Draco wasn’t going to cover all of Harry-actually comforting. So endearingly sweet. ♥

Thank you!
Laurent actually didn't plan the rape so much as using the allure on Harry. He thought enough of it would make Harry unable to resist him. He made Harry Veela-struck when he realized that it didn't work evne in great quantities.
And really, his desire to control Harry originated in the first place in a fear that Harry would leave him. This is part of the reason that Harry does not find jealousy attractive.
Glad that you liked the compromise. It will take them some arguing, but they're already working them out.
